Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Lead research on qubit stabilization and error correction techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop next-generation quantum processors
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Develop IP portfolio with minimum 3 patents/year
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2019-2023)
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development experience with superconducting qubits
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization tools
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and control electronics
- Track record of securing NSF/DoE quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color codes)
