Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with partners like NASA and MIT
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature and Science journals
- Mentor PhD candidates and patent-protected intellectual property
- Contribute to quantum computing standards development for IEEE and ISO
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years industry research
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong Python/C++ programming with scientific computing libraries
- Track record of translating theory to practical quantum applications
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
