Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Develop quantum machine learning models leveraging quantum advantage
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science
- Translate theoretical models into practical quantum computing solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
