Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grant funding for experimental validation
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Proficiency in quantum hardware simulation tools (QASM, Quil)
- Expertise in at least one classical HPC framework (Hadoop, Spark)
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Experience mentoring quantum research interns
