Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence and error correction
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop commercial applications for quantum cryptography in blockchain systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, ACM Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity theory
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated success securing federal research funding
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies (preferred)
