Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant system architecture
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical computing interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum computing adoption across industry verticals
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks and libraries
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information science or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Proven track record of securing competitive research grants
- Experience mentoring graduate-level researchers in quantum domains
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware limitations and co-design principles
