Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and test quantum circuits on real quantum processors
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals and conferences (Nature, Science, QIP)
- Develop error mitigation techniques for quantum supremacy applications
- Translate complex quantum concepts into actionable business strategies for enterprise clients
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants and patents
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years of postdoctoral research
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
- Expertise in machine learning integration with quantum systems
