Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Lead research on quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure federal grants from NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with IBM Q or Rigetti systems
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly programming
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Security clearance preferred for government contract work
