Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning applications
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and optimization techniques
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Familiarity with superconducting qubit architectures or photonic quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience securing research grants and managing academic-industry partnerships
