Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence times
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate and test quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers and foster quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent venues
- Proficiency in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical applications
