Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum hardware prototypes
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure federal research grants
- Translate theoretical quantum mechanics into practical computational frameworks
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive open-source quantum initiatives
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
- Present breakthrough findings at global quantum summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit/Cirq
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and entanglement
- Experience securing NSF/DOE grants or industry funding
