Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in 2026+ tech landscapes
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum error correction protocols
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at global quantum summits
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for commercial deployment
- Secure $5M+ in government/private funding through compelling research proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and computational physics
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computational Physics, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (QAOA, VQE, Grover's variants)
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals post-2020
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical ML frameworks
- Experience with quantum annealing systems (D-Wave, Rigetti) or superconducting qubits
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Ability to secure competitive research grants and manage multi-million dollar budgets
