Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM/Microsoft quantum processors
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and supervise quantum lab operations
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF/DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- Published quantum algorithm research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Proficiency with Qiskit/Cirq and quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting/photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Track record of securing federal research funding
