Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography
- Develop error mitigation strategies for NISQ-era hardware
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum simulation and benchmarking
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patentable innovations
- Advise government and industry stakeholders on quantum policy
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals
- Expertise in topological quantum computing or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Security clearance preferred for government contracts
