Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable hardware solutions
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing hardware and control systems
