Responsibilities
- Lead development of novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise graduate-level projects
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private sector partners
- Develop roadmaps for quantum integration into existing enterprise systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong track record of securing research funding or patents
- Experience mentoring interdisciplinary teams and communicating complex concepts
