Job Description
Join Nexus Quantum Labs at the forefront of technological evolution as we build the quantum computing infrastructure that will define 2026 and beyond. We're seeking a visionary Quantum Infrastructure Architect to design and implement next-generation systems that bridge classical and quantum paradigms. This role offers unparalleled opportunity to shape the future of computational science while working with Nobel Prize-winning researchers in our state-of-the-art downtown San Francisco facility.
Our team operates at the intersection of quantum physics, advanced cryptography, and distributed systems. You'll lead projects that directly impact industries from pharmaceutical discovery to climate modeling, with full access to our 128-qubit quantum processors and petabyte-scale classical-quantum hybrid networks.
Responsibilities
- Architect end-to-end quantum-classical hybrid infrastructure supporting 100+ qubit systems
- Design fault-tolerant quantum networks with <1ms latency across 3 data centers
- Implement quantum-safe cryptographic protocols for enterprise-scale deployments
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with classical HPC clusters
- Develop real-time quantum error correction frameworks at scale
- Optimize quantum circuit compilation for multi-platform execution
- Establish quantum security frameworks for financial and healthcare applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 8+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum algorithms and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with hybrid quantum-classical architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum cryptography principles
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong background in distributed systems and high-performance computing
