Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms to solve real-world business problems.
- Lead the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, from data ingestion and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Optimize existing models for speed, accuracy, and scalability to ensure high performance in production environments.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML to ensure Vertex AI Labs remains at the innovation frontier.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, data science, or a similar technical role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with deep experience in frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and large-scale data processing techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
