Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, AGI)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in our future-tech incubator
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for acquisition/partnership
- Present tech-forward visions to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Build and mentor a team of futurist researchers and prototype engineers
- Secure and manage $10M+ annual innovation budget
- Author thought leadership pieces on tech evolution trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles (AI/quantum/AR preferred)
- Proven track record of launching future-tech products
- Deep expertise in exponential technology forecasting
- Executive presence and board-level communication skills
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, or related field
- Published research in IEEE/Nature or equivalent tier
- Fluency in at least one emerging tech stack (e.g., Qiskit, Unity ML)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ disruptive tech innovations
