Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ technological, social, and economic shifts
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 innovation roadmap with measurable milestones
- Chair quarterly future-strategy workshops with executive stakeholders
- Oversee R&D initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and bio-integration
- Present future scenarios to board members and guide long-term capital allocation
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and future-focused think tanks
- Author annual 'State of 2026' strategic whitepapers
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology
- Proven track record of implementing future-focused initiatives in Fortune 500 environments
- Deep expertise in at least three of: quantum computing, AGI, neurotech, or climate modeling
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with visualization expertise (Tableau/Power BI)
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed innovation journals
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks (e.g., Shell's)
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (preferred)
