Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotechnology) and assess their market viability and societal implications
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligned with company vision and global trends
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive innovations and competitive opportunities
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate foresight into product development pipelines
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Build and maintain expert networks across academia, industry, and policy sectors
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of translating complex tech trends into actionable business strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments with rapid prototyping cycles
