Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ markets
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, and climate resilience
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-focused product roadmaps
- Author quarterly 'Future State' briefs for executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and ethics teams
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and technology summits
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology strategy
- Deep expertise in at least three exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum, etc.)
- Proven track record developing multi-year strategic roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology journals
- Experience with scenario planning tools and trend analysis methodologies
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex futures narratives
- Portfolio demonstrating 5+ future-proofing initiatives
