Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for technological, economic, and societal shifts impacting 2026-2030 landscapes
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable tech frameworks
- Collaborate with C-suite to align innovation initiatives with long-term business objectives
- Champion cross-functional innovation sprints using design thinking and speculative futures methodologies
- Present foresight findings to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and scenario narratives
- Build and maintain an external network of futurists, academics, and industry disruptors
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies through pilot programs and rapid prototyping
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, or related field (MBA/MSc preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurism roles
- Proven expertise in emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech) and their societal implications
- Portfolio demonstrating published futures research or implemented strategic foresight projects
- Mastery of foresight methodologies (horizon scanning, scenario planning, Delphi technique)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M annually
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (articles, whitepapers, books)
