Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics frameworks and governance policies
- Conduct risk assessments for AI systems, identifying potential societal and ethical impacts
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical considerations into AI development lifecycles
- Monitor global regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST frameworks, etc.) and ensure compliance
- Lead cross-functional working groups on AI ethics initiatives and best practices
- Design transparency mechanisms for AI decision-making processes
- Create audit protocols for AI system fairness and bias mitigation
- Represent the company in industry ethics forums and thought leadership initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, Law, Ethics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in AI ethics, governance, or responsible AI implementation
- Deep understanding of machine learning systems and their societal implications
- Expertise in global AI regulatory frameworks (NIST, EU AI Act, OECD principles)
- Proven ability to translate complex ethical concepts into technical requirements
- Experience with bias mitigation techniques and fairness metrics in AI systems
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technical, legal, and executive teams
- Published work in AI ethics or related fields highly desirable
