Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic frameworks for emerging technologies including quantum AI, biotech convergence, and climate-tech solutions
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Analyze macroeconomic indicators and geopolitical shifts to identify market opportunities for 2026
- Design and validate minimum viable futures (MVF) through scenario modeling and trend analysis
- Present strategic roadmaps to C-suite and board members with compelling data visualizations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Mentor junior strategists in future-casting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futures research
- Advanced degree in Technology Foresight, Systems Engineering, or MBA with focus on innovation
- Proven track record of launching products/services with 3+ year lead times
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and trend analysis frameworks
- Proficiency in strategic foresight tools (e.g., STEEP analysis, cross-impact matrices)
- Experience leading $50M+ innovation portfolios or venture capital operations
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy (IEEE, HBR, etc.)
