Responsibilities
- Lead R&D initiatives for 2026-era technologies including quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, and sustainable AI systems
- Develop and execute innovation roadmaps aligned with market forecasts and technological inflection points
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budgets across 8-12 concurrent innovation projects
- Partner with VPs of Product to translate futuristic concepts into market-ready solutions
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of futurists, engineers, and domain experts
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present breakthrough innovations to C-suite executives and board members
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology innovation with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Proven track record of launching 3+ breakthrough technologies with $50M+ commercial impact
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AR/VR, etc.)
- Exceptional strategic planning and scenario modeling capabilities for 2026+ horizons
- Strong patent portfolio with 10+ granted patents in advanced technologies
- Experience securing government innovation grants and corporate venture funding
