Responsibilities
- Lead strategic research on emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, AR/VR integration) and assess commercial viability
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with business growth targets
- Partner with product teams to integrate futuristic solutions into existing ecosystems
- Establish innovation frameworks for ethical AI development and sustainable tech implementation
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and vendor relationships for cutting-edge partnerships
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies and emerging tech literacy
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with 8+ years in tech strategy
- Proven track record in developing future-focused technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in emerging tech trends: quantum computing, generative AI, and spatial computing
- Experience with ethical AI frameworks and sustainable technology implementation
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex tech into business strategy
- Certifications in technology foresight (e.g., ACMP, Foresight Professional)
- Published thought leadership in future technologies (patents, white papers, or keynotes)
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $3M and cross-functional teams of 20+
