Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech) with 2026+ impact potential
- Develop technology roadmaps aligning with long-term business objectives and market disruption forecasts
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify strategic inflection points
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and board stakeholders
- Build and manage a network of industry futurists and academic researchers
- Drive innovation workshops to foster cross-disciplinary ideation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or emerging tech research
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., blockchain, AR/VR, biotech)
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with data visualization expertise
- Experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing strategic decisions
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from foresight organizations) preferred
