Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and societal shifts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AI agents, neural interfaces, etc.)
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (quantum, nanotech, synthetic biology)
- Partner with venture capital arms to identify and acquire disruptive startups
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board members quarterly
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation through data-driven proposals
- Represent company at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, etc.)
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record launching breakthrough products (AI/quantum/bio-tech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Deep expertise in exponential technology trends (Singularity University preferred)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Nature journals
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting
- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German for global partnerships
- Portfolio of 3+ successful tech commercialization projects
