Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technology domains (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive opportunities and threats
- Design innovation frameworks that bridge futuristic concepts with scalable business solutions
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' to prototype and validate next-generation products/services
- Present strategic foresight findings to executive leadership and investor stakeholders
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and innovation hubs
- Build and mentor a high-performing foresight team
- Author thought leadership publications and industry white papers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, R&D leadership, or corporate innovation roles
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products/services with $10M+ revenue impact
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, climate tech, etc.) and their societal implications
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Experience leading global teams and managing cross-cultural innovation projects
- Published thought leader in foresight or innovation strategy (e.g., Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful transformation of futuristic concepts into commercial realities
