Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and societal trends impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for AI governance, quantum computing adoption, and climate resilience
- Architect innovation roadmaps aligned with UN SDGs and next-generation regulatory frameworks
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to embed foresight into product development cycles
- Produce trend impact assessments for executive decision-making and investor communications
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-focused solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Represent company at global futurist forums and technology summits
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years experience in strategic foresight or corporate innovation leadership
- Proven expertise in scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to translate complex futures into compelling narratives
- Published thought leadership in futurist or technology innovation publications
- Experience leading cross-cultural teams in high-growth environments
