Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including quantum computing, AI consciousness, and sustainable fusion energy
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers, designers, and business units to translate futuristic concepts into actionable product plans
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Author thought leadership whitepapers and present at global tech conferences on the future of human-machine symbiosis
- Advocate for ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation practices in partnership with our ethics council
- Manage strategic partnerships with NASA, MIT Media Lab, and other innovation ecosystems to accelerate R&D
- Mentor junior researchers in futures-thinking methodologies and technology forecasting techniques
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies with 10+ years in technology strategy
- Proven track record of developing and implementing technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Deep expertise in AI, quantum computing, or biotech with publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Exceptional systems thinking ability to connect disparate technologies and forecast convergence points
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Strong presentation skills with history of keynoting at CES, Web Summit, or similar venues
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from University of Houston Futures Studies program) preferred
