Responsibilities
- Develop and publish annual horizon-scanning reports identifying disruptive technologies and socio-economic trends through 2030
- Design and lead innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams to prototype future-facing solutions
- Establish quantitative/qualitative frameworks for evaluating emerging technologies' market viability and ethical implications
- Partner with C-suite to integrate foresight into corporate strategy, M&A decisions, and resource allocation
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academic institutions, and industry think tanks
- Present strategic recommendations to investors, board members, and government stakeholders
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures-thinking methodologies and scenario planning
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategy, innovation, or futurism roles with Fortune 500 or scale-up tech companies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products or market shifts
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field preferred
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (whitepapers, journals, conferences)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ high-impact foresight projects with measurable outcomes
