Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for 2026-era applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum-AI hybrid systems on superconducting qubit platforms
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Develop error mitigation techniques for practical quantum advantage
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA/NSF
- Translate theoretical models into deployable solutions for enterprise partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Computational Physics (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or neural network architectures
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in quantum machine learning or top-tier AI conferences
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Expertise in at least one classical ML framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
