Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for industrial-scale applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms leveraging machine learning optimization
- Lead integration of quantum processors with classical HPC infrastructure
- Drive innovation in quantum error correction protocols for 50+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum chip design and cryogenic control systems
- Secure $5M+ R&D funding through DOE/NIST grant proposals
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum software development best practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- 3+ years designing quantum circuits with Qiskit/Cirq or equivalent frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with HPC optimization experience
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong background in topological quantum computing models
