Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography optimization and material science applications
- Design and execute experimental quantum computing protocols on superconducting qubit systems Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Mentor a cross-functional team of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (10+ years industry experience required)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design frameworks
- Proven track record of leading quantum hardware-software integration projects
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing government and private research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy and near-term quantum advantages
