Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for commercial applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Design and execute research protocols for quantum error correction and scalability
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to implement quantum-optimized solutions
- Present findings at premier conferences (e.g., IEEE Quantum Week) and publish in Nature Physics
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and manage $5M+ research budgets
- Drive open-source quantum computing initiatives through GitHub contributions
- Establish KPIs for quantum advantage benchmarks against classical systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier-1 institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Track record of securing government/industry research grants
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and NISQ-era applications
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering and microwave control systems
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams of 10+ members
