Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research grants
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford on quantum error correction protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research (IBM Q, Rigetti, or similar)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Qiskit/Cirq frameworks
- Published work in quantum information theory or algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools
- Demonstrated grant-writing success ($2M+ in funding)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
