Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for next-gen qubit systems
- Lead experimental research in superconducting qubit architectures at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with dilution refrigerators and low-temperature measurement systems
- Strong track record of securing government research funding
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing approaches
