Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and private institutions
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
- Participate in strategic roadmap planning for 2026 quantum deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and probability theory
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage budgets
