Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives to enhance qubit coherence times and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop next-generation quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Secure research grants and patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (QAOA, VQE, Shor's algorithm)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware integration
- Track record of securing NSF or DOE research grants
