We seek a visionary Quantum Computing Research Scientist to develop next-generation algorithms and systems that will redefine computational boundaries. Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2026
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at conferences
- Secure $5M+ in grants from NSF, DARPA, and quantum-focused venture funds
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compilation techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems (D-Wave, IBM Q, etc.)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into business applications
