Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to develop quantum hardware-software integration protocols
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private sector partners
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum systems with error correction rates exceeding 99.9%
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows in quantum information science
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies through IP development and startup incubation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction methodologies
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Mastery of quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and HPC environments
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing $1M+ budgets
- Deep knowledge of quantum decoherence mitigation and cryogenic systems
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to stakeholders
