Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate qubit decoherence and error correction challenges
- Lead research initiatives in quantum networking and distributed quantum systems
- Develop simulation frameworks for quantum circuit validation and performance benchmarking
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research partnerships with academic institutions and quantum technology startups
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming languages (Q#, Cirq, Qiskit)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE) and error correction codes
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks and simulation tools
- Published research in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Experience with cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Ability to secure federal research grants and manage multi-year projects
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
