What you'll achieve:
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 50+ qubit scale
- Collaborate with Nobel laureates and MIT/Stanford-affiliated researchers
- Shape industry standards through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead hardware-software co-design initiatives for quantum accelerators
- Author white papers on quantum advantage for pharmaceutical and climate modeling
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM conferences
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF research grants
- Partner with Intel and IBM quantum engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Track record of translating theoretical models to experimental prototypes
- Security clearance eligibility (preferred)
