Responsibilities
- Analyze macro-trends (AI, quantum computing, biotech, climate tech) to map 3-5 year innovation horizons
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for disruptive market shifts by 2026
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed foresight into product roadmaps
- Produce quarterly trend briefs and innovation impact assessments
- Partner with venture capital team to identify future-acquisition targets
- Represent company at global futurist forums and industry summits
- Mentor junior futurists and build internal foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-tech research
- Proven track record of translating trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and systems thinking
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research methodology skills
- Experience with AI/ML trend analysis tools (e.g., GPT-4, Trendalyzer)
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful innovation implementations
