Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in guest rooms, lobbies, and common areas
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment (floor buffers, extractors) safely
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Coordinate with team members for efficient shift transitions
- Handle special requests and deep-cleaning projects as assigned
- Complete detailed inspection checklists for quality assurance
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months commercial housekeeping or janitorial experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting (up to 25 lbs)
- Valid Michigan driver's license (if traveling between sites)
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to work locations
