As a Future Technologies Strategist, you'll collaborate with R&D, product, and leadership teams to identify high-impact opportunities in AI, quantum computing, biotech, and sustainable tech. Your insights will directly influence our $500M innovation portfolio, ensuring we stay ahead of market disruptions and capitalize on next-generation paradigms.
Responsibilities
- Research and forecast technology trends through 2026, synthesizing data from academic, industrial, and geopolitical sources
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies, prioritizing R&D investments based on market potential and risk
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech innovations into commercial roadmaps
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to prepare for disruptive technological shifts
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Manage a portfolio of innovation pilots with dedicated cross-functional teams
- Monitor global tech policy developments and assess regulatory impacts
Qualifications
- 8+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or emerging tech consulting
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-focused technology roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, advanced materials science, or biotech convergence
- Strong analytical skills with experience in trend forecasting and scenario planning
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business; PhD preferred
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry forums
