Responsibilities
- Develop predictive frameworks for technological convergence (AI, quantum, biotech) by 2026
- Lead scenario-planning workshops with C-suite executives and government stakeholders
- Author white papers on disruptive technologies' societal impacts (published in Nature/Science)
- Manage $2M+ R&D portfolio for future-focused initiatives
- Coordinate with UN agencies on sustainable development goals alignment
- Mentor junior futurists in emerging tech ethics and foresight methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight with Fortune 500 or government think tanks
- Published research on long-term technological forecasting
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and horizon scanning
- Proficiency in predictive modeling tools (GPT-4, TensorFlow) and simulation platforms
- Deep understanding of emerging tech: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI
- Experience with international policy frameworks (UN SDGs, WEF Global Risks)
