Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 technology/societal impact framework using horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Lead quarterly innovation sprints with R&D, product, and marketing teams to prototype future-forward solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership with data-driven risk/reward assessments
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and innovation hubs
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote speeches at global tech conferences
- Manage a $5M innovation budget with ROI tracking for experimental initiatives
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of implementing future-forward initiatives with measurable impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum, AI ethics, climate tech, or neurotech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Strong network of contacts in Silicon Valley and global innovation ecosystems
- Prior experience presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Publish portfolio demonstrating thought leadership (white papers, patents, or industry reports)
